Kunming Metallurgy College（KMC）Bulletin for International Students

　　Any foreign student who is interested in studying the Chinese language or other listed subjects below is welcome to study in our college.
Ⅰ.Requirements for the Applicants
　　1. To abide by the laws and regulations of China and the regulations of our province and our college.
　　2. To be healthy and meet the demands ofour physical examination.
　　3. To have the capability of studying and living independence.

II. How to apply
　　1. Applicants should download from www.kmyz.edu.cn and fill in the Application Form for Foreigners hoping to Study at Kunming Metallurgy College”. The application form and the application fee of 250 Yuan or US $31 should be received by the ASEAN Office of KMC two month before the program starts. Please confirm your registration by sending an email to us.
　　2. In one month, you will get a reply from our ASEAN Office by e-mail. If accepted, you will receive our admission notice, and the JW202 form.
　　3. If your physical examinations are satisfactory, then you can apply for a study visa(X visa) or the F visa (if your stay does not surpass 4 months) at the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate with the materials provided by KMC. In order to avoid illegal residence, please check the date on year passport and visa and ensure that they are valid. Also make sure that you arrive at KMC before the date on your Notice of Admission.
　　4. On arrival please enroll at the ASEAN Office at Kunming Metallurgy College. At the same time，please take your passport a copy of your passport and copies of your visa, medical certificate, the admissionnotice, JW202 form, and 4 photos（35cm x45cm）and then pay for the tuition.
　　5.After enrollment，the international students should apply for a residence permit as soon as possible.
　　6. Please don’t hesitate to consult us ASEAN Office if you have any other questions.

III. Enrollment and tuition
　　1. Physical examination: RMB 280Yuan/a person for those who study longer than 6 months.
　　2. Procedure costs for residence permit: RMB 400 Yuan for staying no more than one year; RMB 800 Yuan for staying 1-3 years.
　　3. HSK Studying Students
　　　　Tuition：RMB 4000 Yuan per semester (about USD 500)
　　　　Tuition：RMB 6800 Yuan per academic year (about USD850)
　　　　The autumn semester will start in September; The Spring semester will start in March.
　　4. College Students for a Diploma
　　　　Duration: 3 years; Tuition: RMB 12000 Yuan /per year (about USD 1500)
　　5. Textbooks fee: RMB 200-300 Yuan for a new student, which subject to the materials used.
　　6. Library card is free charge for the students in the library KMC.

IV. Living Expenses
　　1. Six-bed-room: RMB 800yuan per year, Four-bed-room: RMB 1200 Yuan per year, both with bathroom, telephone, Internet access, desk, closet, balcony etc.
　　2. Food costs:about RMB 300 Yuan /per month.
　　3. Life insurances: about RMB 100 Yuan /per year.

V. Registration
　　New international students should bring 4 passport-sized photos, health certificate and JW202 form for registering. If this is the first time to Kunming, call or fax us your flight number and time if you need us to meet you. Maybe you will spend 30 minutes to go to our campus，which will cost you about 20Yuan by taxi from Kunming airport. Please inform（Call/fax）us if there is something you want to know more.

VI. Graduation and Completion of Courses
　　Corresponding diplomas will be conferred by KKMC on those who finish the obligatory Courses for his (her) major and pass the exams all.
　　For those who have obtained there port card of HSK Band 3 and above can directly be enrolled into KMC.

VII. Summer Camp Plan
　　This plan can be chosen flexibly to any participant.
　　To help the foreign students to experience Chinese college life, Chinese factory, and local culture, we will offer you a three-week program which includes classroom learning (about 20 periods), probation in factories (about 50 periods) and tour in Yunnan provice (about 50 periods).
